Birds

Sometimes when the dust gets too much in the workshop I retreat to a safe place and draw birds.

Chop Chop

Amongst other things we make beautifully illustrated chopping boards thought I would post up some of our favourites. We make all our boards ourselves using found wood from all over Bristol. I illustrate each one with a Peter child pyography pen.

New postcards

Ship shape and Just Jack fashsion

I was approached by a client to design and build a set for a Yacht Rock night at Motion nightclub in Bristol. Put on by the Just Jack peeps. Thought I would add an image as I love the whole boat drawing thing.

We went to see a friend of ours Gus Savy and his band, the Graham Function Argument, at the Cube cinema in Bristol last weekend. Gus is an uber talented sax player and skateboarder. Its always lovely to visit the cube and its vintage cinema smell. great night, great venue and a fantastic band. the night was organised by Drawn recordings check out more of their music madness here

This is a recent illustration for a community report the vivid regeneration group are publishing on
lawrence Weston in Bristol.

I used to cycle all the time, recently I have been really lazy and used
the car. So this brings me onto my illustrated thought of the day. Use my
bike more. Cleaner, quicker and healthier.

Quick collage doodle whilst feeling a little restless in my cold flat. I love using old wnvelopes we have a large collection in the studio and at home.

Where have we been ?

Ros and I have been really busy of late. We started running a little market in corn Street Bristol, thankyou to everyone thats popped by. I have just completed some big murals for Bristol News and Media. I have also just signed the lease on a new studio so we can concentrate on bigger wood projects. The chopping boards are flying off the market and the various shops around Bristol. Ros is really busy printing in her studio so we are really excited about christmas and the new year.

A sneaky peak at our studio in Hamilton House, Stokes Croft Bristol

Wooden things and spraypaint@farmfest music festival.

Last week I left Ros printing in the studio and headed to Bruton, Somerset to do some art work for the FarmFest gang. Lots of paint fumes and wood dust later here are the results.
